DryWatch
Support resident dignity while helping staff provide timely, needs-led care.
Routine manual checks disturb residents, take staff time and can still miss the moment when care is actually needed.
Photography brief: Night-time care home corridor, low warm light; carer looking at a mobile phone alert before entering a room quietly. Dignified — no bedding or resident shown.
What changes
The outcome for the people who run the home, the team on shift and the residents they care for.
Management benefit
See how often moisture alerts occur, when and where, so care plans and night-time staffing reflect real need rather than fixed routines.
Staff workflow benefit
Receive an alert when a resident needs attention instead of carrying out checks on a fixed schedule, freeing time for other care.
Resident benefit
Fewer unnecessary disturbances, a faster response when care is needed, and more dignity through the night.
How it connects to CareBell
The DryWatch sheet sits on the bed and connects by cable to a bedside device. When moisture is detected, the device sends an alert into CareBell, which notifies the appropriate staff member and records the response alongside every other alert in the home.
How it works
- 1
Moisture is detected
The resistive sheet detects moisture and the bedside device raises an alert.
- 2
Staff are notified through CareBell
The alert reaches the appropriate staff device with the room shown, and can be escalated if not accepted.
- 3
The response and pattern are recorded
Acknowledgement and attendance are logged, building a history that can inform care-plan reviews.

Illustrative use
A resident is checked every two hours overnight as a matter of routine, waking them each time. With DryWatch, the night team is alerted only when attention is needed. Over a month the manager can see when alerts cluster and adjust the care plan and night rota accordingly.
Illustrative scenario. Verified client results are published on the Results page.
Pricing approach
DryWatch hardware from £250 per room (one-off), plus the CareBell platform from £20 per room per month.
